Full Description:

Do you like to relax with the good things in life? Good friends, great food, real ale, fine wines, the best tea and coffee? So do we! We’ve created Plato’s Hotel and Restaurant in Kirkby Lonsdale to be the kind of place we’d like to go – for coffee, cocktails, dinner or a few days’ break away from it all.

Plato’s restaurant in Kirkby Lonsdale offers great food, locally sourced and beautifully cooked. You’ll find delicious food right throughout the day here at Plato’s both in the bar and in the restaurant. Our menus change with the seasons – we use fresh local produce as much as we can – so you’ll always find something new and different to eat. From hearty breakfasts, through home-made burgers to specially created gourmet dishes – whenever you’re hungry you’ll find something delicious to keep you going at Plato’s.

Get comfortable on one of our sofas while you browse through the choice of drinks and food throughout the day. Sit up at one of the tables while you work on your laptop or read the papers. You’ll be continually tempted by the choices available -so relax, kick off your shoes and stay awhile. In the evening things really come to life as our selection of fine local ales and handpicked wines comes into its own.

As a boutique hotel, we understand that one of the joys of going away is to have a touch more luxury than you do at home. So that is why in our higgledy piggledy old building, we have made sure that every room is unique with their  ultra-luxury Vi-Spring beds, crisp cotton linen, stacks of fluffy white towels, state of the art flat screen TVs, luxurious en suite bathrooms with rainfall showers, and gorgeous local Sedbergh Soap Company toiletries.
