This year the Kirkby Lonsdale September fair on the weekend of the 5th & 6th of September will be a magical weekend taking its influence and theming from the traditional travelling circus

"It will be just as if the town has been taken over by the circus!"

The town's businesses will be dressed to impress in the theme of the fair with circus paraphenalia everywhere and interpretations of clowns, up to all sorts of things, around the town for visitors to spot and enjoy.

There will be three performance areas featuring jugglers, fire eaters, stilt walking, and high wire trapeze acts and a little big top presenting an old fashioned flea circus.

Alongside all of this will be street entertainments featuring punch and judy, jazz bands, morris dancing, a traditional fairground in the market square and themed stalls and slideshows throughout the town.

Kirkby Lonsdale is famous for its hospitality with a really excellent selection of pubs, cafés and bistros. Add to this tempting food stalls and there will be something for everybody.
