I've always been curious and particularly fascinated in people, which led me to study psychology at Sheffield University and complete a certificate in Counselling. Then a serious back injury in 1994 changed my life. The positive outcome was that my chronic pain led me to Shiatsu and Chi Gong, which I started practicing simply for my own health and happiness. This was while I was working as a psychologist training GPs and Psychiatrists throughout europe on mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety.
I graduated from the 3 year diploma in shiatsu in 1997 with the British School of Shiatsu-Do and in 1999, passed a vigorous assessment to become a Member of the Register of the Shiatsu Society UK (MRSS). I have since qualified as a Zen Yoga teacher for both adults and children and as a Mindful Meditation teacher. I am currently training to teach the 8 week Mindfulness Based Living Course. I have been lucky enough to study and work for over 25 years with a wide variety of inspirational teachers and students from many various disciplines.
My husband, Oliver, is a highly experienced chef who works all over the world and offers nutritional advice, runs regular guided detoxes and caters for our workshops and retreats. We hope to see you soon :)
