An illustrated talk by Jack Gott
Kirkby Lonsdale Gardening Association are delighted to announce a talk by local dahlia breeder and grower, Jack Gott.
Based in Milnthorpe, Jack is a former electrician who has been growing dahlias for over 50 years, and has become one of the countries foremost experts on dahlias. His garden boasts of over 400 varieties and 6,000 dahlias. He has appeared on BBC Gardeners’ World and as a National Dahlia Society judge, he spends many weekends judging other growers’ blooms.
His talk promises to be a fascinating insight into one the countries most enduring garden flowers, and you will also be able purchase dahlias on the night.
