Encore Opera
Encore Opera comprises a collection of enthusiasts whose aspiration is to bring opera out of theatres and into local communities, showcasing both established and emerging performers.
A unique combination of voices allows Encore Opera to produce a very special and unforgettable sound. Concerts include pieces from some of the most famous and best-loved operas, as well as some from less well-known works.
We present short scenes, pieces and arias from works by many and varied composers and from various periods in a format designed to give pleasure to both the regular opera goer and the opera novice. Our performers have great stage experience in opera and many other musical forms, with a wide range of voice types, giving us the ability to cover vastly differing pieces. Performances are semi-staged and costumed and mostly in the original language.
Following their acclaimed performance last year, let the music of Mozart, Verdi, Bizet and Puccini take you into a world of romance, intrigue and passion, as Encore deliver a memorable show that includes all the best bits of your opera favourites.
