William Fiennes and Anthony McGowan will share their thoughts on writing, creativity and finding your voice.
William Fiennes is the bestselling author of ‘The Snow Geese’ and ‘The Music Room’, and co-founder of First Story, England’s leading creative writing charity for young people: www.firststory.org.uk. Celebrated YA author Anthony McGowan has written over 50 books, for adults, teenagers and younger children. His novel ‘Lark’, part of the four-part ‘Truth of Things’ series, won the 2020 Carnegie medal for children’s literature. He has also twice been longlisted (for ‘The Knife That Killed Me’ in 2008 and ‘Brock’ in 2014) and once shortlisted (for Rook in 2018) for the same award. His ‘How to Teach Philosophy to Your Dog’ was published in 2019 and a follow-up, ‘How to Teach Economics to Your Dog’, written with his wife, the economist Rebecca Campbell, came out in 2022.
