Wonders of Wax: Encaustic Art

Casterton WI presents a talk and demonstration by Sue Tyldesley.

Sue has been painting with coloured wax (encaustic art) for over 20 years and loves to share this exciting process with others. She also exhibits in the Silverdale and Arnside Art and Craft Trail and elsewhere.

Sue will show how encaustic art can be used to create loose flowing images in vibrant colours using a variety of heated surfaces and tools. She enjoys experimenting with different approaches, mixed media and stitch and will include some of these techniques.

Sue will share her love of painting with wax and the session will include some opportunity for those interested to make a card using simple encaustic techniques.
