Try as he might\, he cannot avoid life’s embarrassing mishaps. \nBased on an 1892 novel by brothers George and Weedon Grossmith\, the bumbling Pooter has become an enduring comic character in a book that delivers a searing satire on the snobberies of middle-class suburbia – one which also sends up late Victorian crazes for spiritualism and bicycling\, as well as the fashion for publishing diaries by anybody and everybody. \nThis one-man show\, brought to you by theatre group ‘Don’t Go Into the Cellar’ and starring award-winning actor and writer Jonathan Goodwin promises to be a highlight of St Mary’s SS25 season. \n“Don’t go into the Cellar never disappoint.
