We are delighted to report that final preparations for the Christmas Fair Weekend are being made and we are ready to see you all for a wonderful weekend here in Kirkby Lonsdale! With a good weather forecast, there's no reason not to drop in, especially when you see just what we've got planned for the weekend.
We have a fabulous Chalet Village set up in the Market Square with lots of goodies and gifts available, not to mention even more stalls in Lunesdale Hall...
All weekend there will be entertainment from top class acts including Ukulele Jukebox, Hogtimers, Hornby Occasional Choir, Kirkby Singers, Brewer's Apron, Fiona D Project and the Red Rosettes. An incredible variety of music to suit most tastes from traditional Christmas carols, to ukulele fuelled rock!!!
Santa will be making a very special visit over the weekend so keep an eye out for his Grotto! The Kirkby Lonsdale Scout/Explorer group will be offering craft activities all day Saturday and Sunday, both indoors and outside next to Santa's Grotto so there's plenty to do for the whole family.
In fact the whole town will be in full Festive swing this weekend, and the town looks so delightful at this time of the year with the decorations and lights. Not to mention all of our wonderful local retailers and businesses getting into the Christmas spirit with beautiful displays and offerings (they all put in so much effort to make the weekend special) we think you'll be guaranteed a great day out. There's also FREE parking (weather permitting), so what more could you want?
It all starts at 4pm on Friday 1st December with late night shopping and the opening of our Chalet Village, and there'll be plenty of musical entertainment to keep your toes tapping.
