Remembering Kirkby Lonsdale – The 1930s (Part 1) is a film that brings together the memories of eight locals, telling the story of the Town during the 1930s. From the old feudal Underley Estate, Jonty's Smithy, livestock sales, steam trains, the gasworks, the workhouse to the new bridge and bypass. All this is remembered alongside the characters that made Kirkby Lonsdale such a vibrant community. The film has been produced by filmaker John Hamlett.
There are two screenings of the film on the day; at 1pm and 3.30pm.
