Save Hornby Pool

Last month Lancaster Council agreed to “mothball” Hornby pool for six months. This means that from Friday 30 March, whilst it will essentially be closed, they are allowing time for the Community to put together a business plan with the aim of opening in September as a Community Trust.

Bob McGachie is running the project and has set up a public meeting for all who have expressed an interest in helping to retain the pool for the community’s use. The meeting is being held at 7pm, Thursday 30th March at Hornby Village Hall.

The agenda will include –

  • Progress to date
  • The formation of a Trust
  • The process of a “Community Asset Transfer”
  • Timetable
  • Fund raising

Anybody with any additional items which they may wish to be included please contact me direct
